Shooting Incident

DIMATALING, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 29, 2018) - Shooting incident transpired at Sitio Samalan, Barangay Balanagan, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:30 AM of December 28, 2018.

Initial investigation conducted by Dimataling MPS disclosed that victim identified as Emily Tolentino Calibo, 31 years old, female, married, Housewife and a resident of said place was shot by her husband identified as Jomar Jacob Calibo, 32 years old, male, CAFGU member and a resident of same place.

Victim sustained lone gunshot wound hitting particularly on her left leg, using an alleged caliber 9mm pistol based on one (1) pc empty shell turn - over at this station.

Victim was immediately brought to Chavez Clinic, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur for medication, while suspect voluntary surrendered to Dimataling MPS at about 6:30 AM of same date.

Investigation further revealed, that prior to the incident victim and suspect were enjoying a DISCO party at the Sitio Plaza of said place, when they were walking on their way home, they have heated arguments until the victim reached in the house of her parent and there and then suspect followed her and shot the victim.

Alarm and Scandal Incident

DIMATALING, Zamboanga del Sur (Dec. 17, 2018) - Qualified trespass to dwelling and alarm and scandal incident transpired at Purok 01, Barangay Baluno, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 2:45 AM of December 16, 2018.

The victim was identified as Gregoria Carreon y Tambus, 62 years old, married, housewife and a resident of Purok 01, Barangay Baluno, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The suspect identified as Jay Balang y Jalandoni, male, married, 28 years old, farmer and a resident of Barangay Baha, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur.

Investigation conducted disclosed that while the victim together with her husband Gregorio Carreon Sr. and her son Gregorio Carreon Jr. were inside their house at the afore-stated place sleeping, Gregorio Jr. was awaked by the loud and angry voice of the suspect (Jay Balang) who entered their house holding a handgun looking for his younger brother Raymond Carreon.

Gregoria Carreon also awaked and stood up from bed and told the suspect that her son Raymond was not around, suspect became angry and suddenly squeezed the trigger of his handgun pointing upward hitting the galvanized roof of the said house and immediately went outside from the victim’s house.

PNP elements of Dimataling MPS was able to recovered one (1) spent shell of alleged caliber .45 at the crime scene;      

Investigation further revealed that on December 14, 2017 Raymond Carreon and Joy Balang the identical twin of the suspect involved in the mauling incident that transpired at Purok 02, Baluno, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur, victim believed that suspect might take a revenge against her son Raymond;

That immediately PNP elements of Dimataling MPS conducted hot pursuit operation against the fleeing suspect but to no avail.

Dimataling MPS is continuously conducting thorough investigation in order to file appropriate charges against the suspect. Motive of the incident is personal grudge.

Implementation of Search Warrant

DIMATALING, Zamboanga del Sur (Dec. 13, 2018) – The PNP elements of Tigbao Police implemented Search Warrant No. 2018-19, for Violation of R.A 10591 against the accused Reneboy Revilla Ordaniza, 28 years old, single, farmer and a resident of Purok 10 Sitio Lasak, Buburay, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur On December 12, 2018 at about 5:45 AM.

The Search Warrant issued by Hon. Pacifico T Cimafranca, Jr, Presiding Judge, 8th MCTC, Dumalinao-San Pablo-Tigbao and Guipos, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur dated December 11, 2018. 

The said operation was resulted to the arrest of the above-said accused and seized one (1) unit of Hand Grenade Assembly with safety case.

Arrested person was informed of his constitutional rights under Miranda Doctrine and subsequently brought to this office for proper documentation and disposition.

The case for Viol of R.A 9516 is now being prepared by the Tigbao Police Station. 

Farmer Arrested for the Crime of Frustrated Murder

DIMATALING, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 13, 2018) - Police operatives of Dimataling Police Station conducted police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok 1 Brgy. Tiniguangan, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:45 AM of December 12, 2018.  

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Danny Boy Mamaling Y Viral, 47 years old, with live-in partner, farmer and a resident of Purok 2 Brgy. Sumbato, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Frustrated Murder docketed under Criminal Case No. 03-072 issued on November 24, 2003 by Honorable Judge Edilberto G. Absin, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur with bail bond recommended of Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php200,000.00) for his temporary liberty. 

The arrested person is now under the custody of Dimataling MPS for proper disposition.

Implementation of Search Warrant

DIMATALING, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 26, 2018) - On November 25, 2018 at about 5:30 AM, PNP elements of Dimataling MPS conducted police operation on implementation of Search Warrant.

Search Warrant No. 2018-18 for Violation of R.A 10591 was issued by Presiding Judge, 8th MCTC, Dumalinao-San Pablo-Tigbao and Guipos, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur dated November 23, 2018 at Purok 4 Lalab, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Rogen Sedenio Tubac, 48 years old, married, farmer, with postal address at Purok 1 San Roque, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur and seized one unit of M16 Armalite Rifle Replica.

The arrested subject person and seized evidence are now under the custody of Dimataling MPS for proper disposition.

Shooting Incident

DIMATALING, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 11, 2018) -  Shooting incident transpired at Purok 7, Barangay Salaogan, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:00 AM November 10, 2018.

The victim was identified as Cosme Gonesto Y Cortez, 59 years old, married, fisherman and a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Salaogan, Dimataling.

The suspect identified as Elsmindie Gonesto Y Richa, male, 31 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Purok 7, Brgy. Salaogan, Dimataling.

Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to said incident, suspect and his uncle Rogelio Gonesto the older brother of the victim got a drinking session at the house of Isidora Gonesto (mother of the victim) at the afore-stated place while the victim was busy preparing foods for his breakfast at the kitchen of the said house, suspect (Elsmindie) was under the influence of liquor and repetitively persuading the victim to drink a serve of liquor but the victim keep on refusing to drink due to the fact that the victim has an eye injury and still on medication stage, moments later, suspect stood up and drew a handgun of undetermined caliber from his sling bag and suddenly shot the victim once.

After the incident suspect immediately ran towards eastern direction of the afore-stated place while victim sustained gunshot wounds on his lower abdomen (entrance wound) and exited on his lower back torso and immediately rushed to Margosatubig Regional Hospital, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur for immediate medical attention and subsequently forwarded to Pagadian City Medical Hospital for further medical treatment.

That immediately the responding team of Dimataling MPS conducted hot pursuit operation against the fleeing suspect and eventually files appropriate charges. Motive of the incident believe to be personal grudge. 

Murder Suspect Arrested

DIMATALING, Zamboanga Del Sur (Nov. 7, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Dimataling MPS conducted police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 04:30 PM of November 06, 2018 at Purok 1, Brgy. Saloagan, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Musa Dali-On Mohammad, 28 years old, male, married, driver and residing at Purok 7, Saloagan, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Murder, docketed under Criminal Case No. 13 – 004 issued on January 28, 2013 by Presiding Judge, Ninth Judicial Region RTC Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur with no bail bond recommended. 

The accused is now in the custody of Dimataling MPS for proper disposition.

Farmer Arrested for Frustrated Homicide

DIMATALING, Zamboanga del Sur (Oct. 16, 2018) - PNP personnel of 903rd and 902ndManeuvering Company of RMFB9, Provincial Intelligence Branch of Zamboanga Del Sur PPO, Dimataling MPS and Molave MPS conducted Manhunt “Charlie” at PurokMaliwanag 2, BrgyParasan, Molave, Zamboangadel Surat about 3:00 PM of October 15, 2018.

The operation was led to the arrest of CristitoOpiar Y Sibay, 55 years old, married, farmer and resident of above mentioned place.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Judge EdilbertoAbsin, Presiding Judge, RTC, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur dated June 23, 2008 for the crime of Frustrated Murder docketed under Criminal Case # 08-043 with recommended bail bond in the amount of two hundred thousand (Php200,000.00) pesos.

Subject arrested personnow temporarily detained at Molave MPSfor booking procedure prior proper turned over to the issuing authority. 

Shooting Incident

DIMATALING, Zamboanga del Sur )Sept. 12, 2018) - Shooting incident transpired at Public plaza, Barangay Kagawasan, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:30 PM of September 11, 2018.

The victim was identified as Arturo Libre Aka Balter, of legal age, married, Habal Habal driver and a resident of Barangay Tiniguangan, Dimataling Zamboanga Del Sur.

The PNP Personnel of Dimataling MPS conducted hot pursuit operation against the unidentified fleeing suspects but turn into negative result.

The suspect/s fled onboard of a single motorcycle heading towards Municipality of Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur, The victim sustain injury and immediately brought to Jofileña Hospital in Pagadian City for treatment.

Investigation is now conducted by Dimataling MPS for possible identification of suspect/s and the motive of incident.

Murder suspect arrested in Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur for

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Murder docketed under CC#13617-2K17 dated October 10, 2017 issued by Hon. Felix B. Rodriguez, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 18, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

Drug Pusher Busted in Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur

DIMATALING, ZamboSur (Aug. 1, 2018) - Drugs Enforcement Unit of Zamboanga Del Sur PPO in coordination with Dimataling MPS conducted buy-bust operation at Purok 2, Barangay Libertad, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:50PM July 28, 2018.

The operation was resulted in the arrest of Abdul Ajees M. Mustapha, 29 years old, single, bystander, high school graduate and a resident of Purok 2, Brgy. Libertad, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del sur. 

Confiscated from his possession were four (4) pc sachets of shabu, and marked money.  The arrested subject person is now custody of said police office for filing of appropriate charges in court.

Fisherman Arrested in Dimataling for Homicide

 DIMATALING, Zamboanga del Sur (July 16, 2018) -On July 14, 2018 at about 8:50 AM, joint PNP personnel of Dimataling MPS and Tabina MPS conducted Manhunt Operation against wanted person at Purok 3, Brgy. Sumpot, Dimataling, ZamboangaDel Sur.

The successful operation wasresulted to the arrest of one Jason Gabato Y Vergis, A.K.A Jason Gabongga @ Ontwa, 23 years old, single, fishing worker and temporary residing at Abong-abong, Tabina, ZamboangaDel Sur, with permanent address at Purok 3, Brgy. Sagacad, Dinas, ZambongaDel Sur.

He was arrestedby virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Ruben N. Bance, Presiding Judge, 9th Judicial Region RTC BR 29, San Miguel, Zamboangadel Sur dated September 4, 2017 for the crime of Homicide, docketed under Criminal Case No. 17-148 with Bail Recommended fixed at Forty Thousand Pesos (Php40,000.00) for his temporary liberty. Subsequently, said wanted person was informed of his Constitutional Rights under Miranda Doctrine.

1 victim of Hacking was rushed to hospital

DIMATALING, Zamboanga del Sur (June 22, 2018) - On June 20 2018 at about 11:30 PM, a victim of hacking was rushed to the nearby Hospital. the incident was transpired at Purok 4, Barangay Josefina, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur.

The police identified the victim as Jeffrey Tundi Y Cabacha, 27 years old, farmer, and resident of Purok 4, Barangay Josefina, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur while suspect identified as his brother Jerry Tundi Y Cabacha, 31 years old, farmer, married, and resident of same place.

Investigation conducted disclosed that on June 20, 2018 at about 4:00 PM, the victim and suspect were having drinking session at the house of the suspect in relation to the birthday celebration of his child. Minutes later, their younger brother identified as Juan Tundi Y Cabacha, 14 years old, and resident of same place arrived and asked for payment of two hundred pesos (PHP 200.00) that was borrowed by the suspect.

When his younger brother (Juan Tundi Y Cabacha) asked the suspect for the payment, the suspect replied in a rude manner and insisted the he had no money. On that instance, the victim pacified them to calm down but the suspect got mad on them.

At about 7:00 PM of same date, the victim and suspect transferred their drinking session at the house of the victim of the above-mentioned place of his residence and continued their drinking session. While thereat, a heated argument ensued between the duo (victim and suspect), and a minutes later the victim left said place and went to the house of his aunt Angelita Mandalinao.

When victim returned to his house at around 11:30 PM of same date, the suspect got mad and confronted the victim and utter words in bisayan dialect to quote: “Pamatyon Ta Mo Tanan” when suddenly the suspect hacked the victim several times using scythe hitting his left shoulder and head.

Fortunately, victim was able to jump into the window of his house and managed to run towards his aunt of said place.

Victim was brought to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for medical treatment, while suspect fled towards barangay Saloagan of said municipality.

Responding PNP personnel of Dimataling MPS conducted hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the fleeing suspect.

3 killed in Dimataling Shooting Incident

Dimataling Municipal Hall

DIMATALING, Zamboanga del Sur (June 21, 2018) – Three were killed in a Shooting incident transpired at Purok 6, Sitio Quary, Barangay Kagawasan, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur or about 6:15 in the morning of June 19, 2018.

The three victims were identified as:

Saddat Ebrahim Bongga, 42 years old, married, Public School Teacher assigned at Laouriano Saludsod National High School,

Sammer Ebrahim Bonga, 37 years old, Business Man and

Sadam L Lam, 28 years old, fisher man and all are a residents of Purok 1, Sitio Banghouse, Barangay Poblacion, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur were shot to death several times by five unidentified suspects.

The suspects using different types of firearms based on the sixty-four pcs of empty shells of alleged M16 Rifle and eight pcs empty shells of cal. 9mm.

The PNP elements of Dimataling MPS responded to the reported incident and immediately proceeded to the place of incident to conduct ocular inspection and investigation.

Initial investigation conducted by the responding team disclosed that, prior to the incident, an alleged Toyota Vios, Color White arrived at said place at around 6:10 AM of same date and parked along the road fronting towards the direction of Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur.

Three armed men wearing PNP Camouflage Uniform went out from the said vehicle while the others stayed inside seems like they were waiting for someone.

A minute after, the victims Saddat Bonga and his back rider Sadam Lam onboard on a single motorcycle, Honda XR color red and along with his brother Sammer Bonga also riding another single motorcycle, Honda XRM 125 color red. They arrived at the place of incident and without apparent reason two armed men fired at them several times that cause their untimely death.

While the other suspect took the firearm of Sammer Bonga (Cal .45 with serial no. 801928 with inserted magazine of six live ammunitions) tacked on his waist and shot him several times. Said firearm was also recovered at the crime scene. The responding team of Dimataling MPS conducted hot pursuit operation but turned out negative result.

Dimataling MPS investigator PO3 Francisco P Pague Jr with contact no. 09301765895 is now conducting thorough investigation for the possible identification and apprehension of the fleeing suspects.   

Shooting Incident in Dimataling

A shooting incident transpired at Purok 1 Brgy. Codilog, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur At about 2:30 PM of May 6, 2018 wherein victim identified as Evrin Dres, 37 years old, married, Municipal  Councilor under Peace and Order and Committee on Anti – Drugs  and a resident of Sitio Tuka Purok 3, Poblacion Dimataling Zamboanga Del Sur.

Initial investigation conducted by Dimataling  MPS disclosed that victim was driving his Navara 4x4 from Sittio Tuka Purok 3, Poblacion Dimataling Zamboanga Del Sur going to His Rice Mill situated at Barangay Kagawasan Dimataling when he notice he was fired upon that force him to drive fast and luckily he was unharmed.

The suspects fled towards barangay Poblacion Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur after the commission of the crime.

Responding team of Dimataling MPS conducted hot pursuit operation to the fleeing suspect but yielded negative result.

Motive of the incident believed to be personal grudge. Investigator is PO1 Iresidel O. Osayan with CP # 09076166963.

Stabbing Incident

DIMATALING,      Zamboanga del Sur (May 1, 2018) – On April 30, 2018, at about 11:45 pm, a stabbing incident transpired at Purok 1, Brgy. Magahis, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur.  

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that victim was identified as one (1) Jimmy Mangaral Tuwawa, 42, Brgy. Kagawad, married, resident of said place.

Victim sustain stabbed wound to his right part of his abdomen and was brought by his relatives to Margosatubig Regional Hospital then subsequently transferred to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center for further medication.

Suspect identified as one (1) Noroden Tilos Taratingan, 21, single, jobless, resident of Brgy. Molum, Lapuyan. Investigation disclosed that victim roaming around in the disco party when he pacifying trouble of two male persons suddenly suspect stabbed the victim without any apparent using 11 inches double bladed knife and run away but Edgar Saavedra together with the Barangay Tanods hurriedly follows the suspect and held by the responding civilians and Tanods.

Suspect was immediately turnover to the responding PNP personnel and brought to Dimataling for proper disposition and documentation.

Further, the place of incident with estimated distance from Dimataling MPS, More or less 64 kilometers means of transportation using patrol car vehicle with estimated time travel 3-4 hours; PNP personnel of Dimataling MPS still coordinating with the family of the victim for filling of case.

Top 3 high value target arrested in drug buy-bust operation

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (April 25, 2018) – Top 3 high value target was arrested by the joint operating personnel of Dimatalingt Municipal Police Station and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) during the conduct of drug buy-bust operation Tuesday afternoon at Purok 6, Sitio Quarry Barangay Kagawasan in the municipality of Dimataling in this province.  

Dimataling Chief of Police Inspector Jeremias N. Pepito identified the suspect as Roberto Dela Cruz Patalot, 52 years old, LGU casual employee of the said town.

Police Inspector Pepito said that the operating personnel used P500.00 marked money posted as drug buyer. After the exchange of marked money and the illegal drugs the police signal the operating troops that resulted the immediate arrest of the suspect.

Recovered from the possession of the suspect 2 packs of buy-bust item and 6 other small packs believed to be containing a shabu and the marked money, the Police Official added.

In the initial investigation disclosed that the suspect admitted that he is engaged in illegal drug pushing. He stopped the said illegal activities and voluntary surrender to the police during the height of Oplan Tokhang, Police Inspector Pepito also said.

The suspect is now detained at the PDEU-lock-up cell while the violation of RA 9165 otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act being filed against him.

Fragmentation Grenades recovered

DIMATALING, Zamboanga dle Sur (April 22, 2018) - Two MK2 Fragmentation Grenades discovered separately by barangay folks at Purok 10, Brgy. Codilog and Purok 5, Sitio Guling, Tiniguangan in the said municipality.

The personnel of Dimataling MPS proceeded to Purok 10, Brgy Codilog, at around 9:00 O’clock in the morning of April 21, 2018 together with the team of EOD led by SPO1 Reuben G Balido with PO2 Urot and PO1 Abalo arrived in the area and conducted ocular inspection.

The subject UXO was detonated as a method of an explosive disposal as its transportation is no longer feasible. The team proceeded at Purok 5, Sitio Guling, Brgy. Tiniguangan where another UXO, MK2 Fragmentation Grenade was also discovered at around 3:00 O’clock in the afternoon being placed in cleave of unknown tree species in its trunk. The EOD team detonated as its recovery, the team returned station at about 4:00 O’clock in the afternoon the same day with no incidents noted.

Police visibility conducted in the coastal Barangay of Dimataling

DIMATALING, Zamboanga del Sur (April 6, 2018) – The Personnel of Dimataling Municipal Police Station led by Police Inspector Jovencio Bucog conducted the police visibility and patrolling along the coastal barangay of Tipange of this town recently.

 During the Police visibility, Inspector Bucog also reminded the BPATs and Bantay Dagats to be vigilant always against unidentified personalities that would dock at their shorelines and reports immediately to them.
