1 victim of Hacking was rushed to hospital

DIMATALING, Zamboanga del Sur (June 22, 2018) - On June 20 2018 at about 11:30 PM, a victim of hacking was rushed to the nearby Hospital. the incident was transpired at Purok 4, Barangay Josefina, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur.

The police identified the victim as Jeffrey Tundi Y Cabacha, 27 years old, farmer, and resident of Purok 4, Barangay Josefina, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur while suspect identified as his brother Jerry Tundi Y Cabacha, 31 years old, farmer, married, and resident of same place.

Investigation conducted disclosed that on June 20, 2018 at about 4:00 PM, the victim and suspect were having drinking session at the house of the suspect in relation to the birthday celebration of his child. Minutes later, their younger brother identified as Juan Tundi Y Cabacha, 14 years old, and resident of same place arrived and asked for payment of two hundred pesos (PHP 200.00) that was borrowed by the suspect.

When his younger brother (Juan Tundi Y Cabacha) asked the suspect for the payment, the suspect replied in a rude manner and insisted the he had no money. On that instance, the victim pacified them to calm down but the suspect got mad on them.

At about 7:00 PM of same date, the victim and suspect transferred their drinking session at the house of the victim of the above-mentioned place of his residence and continued their drinking session. While thereat, a heated argument ensued between the duo (victim and suspect), and a minutes later the victim left said place and went to the house of his aunt Angelita Mandalinao.

When victim returned to his house at around 11:30 PM of same date, the suspect got mad and confronted the victim and utter words in bisayan dialect to quote: “Pamatyon Ta Mo Tanan” when suddenly the suspect hacked the victim several times using scythe hitting his left shoulder and head.

Fortunately, victim was able to jump into the window of his house and managed to run towards his aunt of said place.

Victim was brought to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for medical treatment, while suspect fled towards barangay Saloagan of said municipality.


Responding PNP personnel of Dimataling MPS conducted hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the fleeing suspect.

3 killed in Dimataling Shooting Incident

DIMATALING, Zamboanga del Sur (June 21, 2018) – Three were killed in a Shooting incident transpired at Purok 6, Sitio Quary, Barangay Kagawasan, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur or about 6:15 in the morning of June 19, 2018.

The three victims were identified as:
Saddat Ebrahim Bongga, 42 years old, married, Public School Teacher assigned at Laouriano Saludsod National High School,
Sammer Ebrahim Bonga, 37 years old, Business Man and
Sadam L Lam, 28 years old, fisher man and all are a residents of Purok 1, Sitio Banghouse, Barangay Poblacion, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur were shot to death several times by five unidentified suspects.

The suspects using different types of firearms based on the sixty-four pcs of empty shells of alleged M16 Rifle and eight pcs empty shells of cal. 9mm.

The PNP elements of Dimataling MPS responded to the reported incident and immediately proceeded to the place of incident to conduct ocular inspection and investigation.

Initial investigation conducted by the responding team disclosed that, prior to the incident, an alleged Toyota Vios, Color White arrived at said place at around 6:10 AM of same date and parked along the road fronting towards the direction of Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur.

Three armed men wearing PNP Camouflage Uniform went out from the said vehicle while the others stayed inside seems like they were waiting for someone.

A minute after, the victims Saddat Bonga and his back rider Sadam Lam onboard on a single motorcycle, Honda XR color red and along with his brother Sammer Bonga also riding another single motorcycle, Honda XRM 125 color red. They arrived at the place of incident and without apparent reason two armed men fired at them several times that cause their untimely death.

While the other suspect took the firearm of Sammer Bonga (Cal .45 with serial no. 801928 with inserted magazine of six live ammunitions) tacked on his waist and shot him several times. Said firearm was also recovered at the crime scene. The responding team of Dimataling MPS conducted hot pursuit operation but turned out negative result.

Dimataling MPS investigator PO3 Francisco P Pague Jr with contact no. 09301765895 is now conducting thorough investigation for the possible identification and apprehension of the fleeing suspects.
